Speaking & listening
Have you every learned another language? We are aware that the Dutch language is quite difficult. Words can have multiple meanings, pronunciation with the G is a serious challenge for many. For us this helps learning other languages, like learning Italian.
Over the past few months we have found out that learning Italian is challenging too. Sometimes words are related to English or French and sometimes we are completely surprised by the way things are said or we cannot relate a word to anything. Next to that we noticed that we don’t have that special accent that Italian and other south European people have.
Learning Italian together & apart
When we started this online course learning Italian there is a daily lesson we do together. Furthermore there are many topics that have their own lessons. Think about travelling, food, romance and many more day to day topics. It is writing, listening, speaking and all in a simple and easy accessible way. These we do on our own, as we have our own moment we like to take a lesson and our interest vary too.
We have a long way to go before we will be able to make ourselves understood in Italian. Step by step we will get there. Parla Italiano.
They say that Italian is the language of love and the combination of pronunciation and the words it meets the expectations. All that is missing when writing this post is the warmth of nature 😉
Maybe when we can go and visit Italy later this year we will be inspired by the people, the atmosphere and the way of living to get that special feeling. The feeling of using the Italian language during the day to day activities. Practice and make mistakes, learn from the people there. I can’t wait.
