Searching is difficult

Searching and hopefully finding our dream house is difficult. Each house (like each stone) has it’s own charm and there are so many houses for sale in the area of Le Marche, which as you know is our search area. Questions we have already handled are if we would like to restore a house or not. We don’t mind painting and interior adjustments, but a full restauration is not our thing. That brings down the list of potential houses immediately.

Still many questions needs an answer. Number of bed and bath rooms. Living space, sqm of the house and of the property. How far do we specify the area, the details etc. Do we want a swimming pool or is it enough to know we have space to do this after buying the house. When answering a question another question pops up. But we are lucky! After cancelling our travel plans last year due to Covid-19, we are going to Le Marche next month to enjoy the good life in Italy combined with searching locally.

Trip to Le Marche

Our trip to Le Marche starts with 2 days visiting friends in Austria. They bought a gasthof a few years ago and Sandra was there just before they opened in June 2018. We are curious to see how they are doing and catching up. Then we travel to the southern area of Le Marche. This way we can see the area in total and we will spend time in the area that is most appealing to us. Experiencing the way of living, the people, the culture, the food …. la dolce vita.

We love to talk to many people and hear their stories. Will this one trip be enough to decide on a house? You never know. We do expect to visit Le Marche again to go searching in Spring. Of course we will do a lot of work from home in between those visits. Searching is nice, although we hope to find a place within the coming year. Than we can start searching for furniture and more to make a house our home.
